Week 6

This week I looked over the video one final time after adding in the opening sequence. I realized that we needed a conclusion just to sum up the main points and what the people interviewed said. We quickly recorded a new piece of audio and added that into a new sequence of video. With this I added the footage and inserted the new audio with footage. I put in some new transitions and added the music into the parts that I felt were appropriate to add music. After all this was done I rendered and uploaded the final product onto YouTube.

Week 5

This week I will be looking into the new footage the group members have sent me. These include the video footage from the full interviews and split them at the points where the different questions were asked. This meant that I could group the answers to have them answering the same question at the same time. This took up a majority of the video and was the main body. I added the transitions and titles showing the viewer what the questions were.

After this I added a section explaining the good points and the bad points of the internet. This was the opening part of the video. I felt that it was good that it was at the start because it explained the causes of why we are looking into the topic of "A day without internet". We listed the uses and downsides of the internet.

Week 4

This week I will be looking to start making the film.

I have been getting parts of the video from the camera person and I will work on this for now. I have edited the answers to interview question one by making them have a small part at the bottom telling the watcher who is speaking and what their occupation is. I will soon get more footage from Bhaskar who is in charge of titles and will start out the video. I will make sure to prepare the video with the right transitions and such to make sure that I can easily just drag and drop the title sequence into the movie.


Today I have learnt:

• How to add titles at different places of the screen.
• How to make the title come in with animations.
• How to prep a iMovie to make sure that I can easily add new footage. 

Next week I will try to look at the next part of the footage and compile them together.  

Week 3

This week I will be looking into different transitions I can use to enhance the video.

Transitions are ways of moving on from one clip to another. Transitions make the video look more professional without drawing attention to the way the different clips are changing.

• I have experimented with transitions and have made a few experiments working with the different types of transitions.
• I now know how to add transitions without having the transitions draw to much attention. 

Week 2

This week I will be looking to experiment with iMovie.

I will be creating a 5x5 to start out with. A 5x5 is a video where I have 5 clips that are each 5 second. This video should tell a story. The story I will tell is how I get to school. I have included clips from walking to the bus stop, bus ride, arriving at school. These clips all tell a story in under 30 seconds.

I have learnt

• How to insert clips and move them around. 
• How to cut clips and make sure that they are the right size. 

Next week I will be looking into transitions to see if I can enhance the movie by making linking 1 clip to another more interesting.

Week 1

Today I started work on my explorations project. I have been placed in a group with Bianca, Chloe, Bhaskar and Nicole. I am the editor/director.

My task is to take everything everyone has made and prepare it to make it the final product.

My goals this week are

• To know what I need to do when we reach the final stage.
• To experiment with iMovie 
• To know how to split clips and move them.
